Paul's posts with tag: martika
I've been listening to FM radio again these days, and today, I tuned in to a jazz station which, like most of its kind, interspersed its present-day selection with some older tunes. Apparently, this station's collection included Colored Kisses by Martika, and the first few synthesizer-generated notes brought back an afternoon in 1991. It was one of the quarterly exams in my sophomore year at Manila Science. It was raining that day, so the air was cool. In between maneuvers to get or give answers to my partners in crime, I'd tune them out to listen to my Walkman (at that point, they still allowed us access to that kind of technology during exam days), which provided a steady stream of early 90's pop.
So today, let's take a break from the ever-enduring Rick Astley, listen to Martika, and wonder what she's doing now.
